Get Married

That’s not a command.  If you are reading this, then you are probably already going to get married. 😉

I want to tell you about the website and magazine.  Partly because I advertise on the website, but mostly because I think they are really great!  GetMarried.com is an up and coming website with a quarterly publication.  The website is a wonderful resource for finding local vendors and offers lots of great tools for wedding planning like:

My Budget – Broken down by categories such as Attire and Beauty to Reception and then broken down into individual items.  Keeps track of what you thought it would cost, your actual cost, how much you went over or under, how much you have paid and amount due.  And each item is listed with a money-saving tip!

My Guest List – Allows you to keep track of who you invited, the number in the party, if the invitation has been sent, guest response, their affiliation with you (bride or groom side), their table assignment, and gift given.

My Seating – Helps with the seating arrangements.  Keep track of who is sitting at what table, and who still needs to be assigned.

My Favorites – A handy spot to keep track of all of your inspiration or local vendors you want to contact when you are ready to book them.  Divided into multiple categories such as Local Vendors, Fashion, and Inspiration.

My Checklist – A complete listing of everything you need to do to prepare for your wedding day.  Includes a timeline to help you stay on track.

My Website – Create your own wedding website using one of several templates.  Add your own photos, keep your wedding party up-to-date on plans, and let out-of-town guests know the best places to stay and eat.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.  This really is a great website – I only wish you could post reviews on it as well.  The magazine is full of colorful inspirations and real weddings and is published nationally rather than by the region so the Vendor Directory in the back is listed by state – perfect for a Bride planning a destination wedding.

If you haven’t checked it out yet I encourage you to do so.  I find the website much easier to navigate than some other sites and the magazine isn’t so bulky you feel you are getting a workout by carrying it around.

Be Carefree,

Suzanne
