The last week here in Austin has actually felt like fall…cool mornings…temperatures not exceeding 90. Which made yesterday’s wedding at Vintage Villas that much more pleasant for everyone. The weather was perfect. We had a lovely, short and to the point ceremony outside including a hand ceremony and a sand ceremony. There was only a Best Man (in a tuxedo) and a Maid of Honor (wearing a lovely knee-length flowy dress with spaghetti straps in a gorgeous shade of pink). There were two of the cutest ring bearers I have ever seen in their tuxedos with black and white Converse. And a lovely flower girl who after the ceremony went back and retrieved all of her petals she had dropped. The dapper groom wore a black tuxedo with white vest and tie combo and the bride was in a simple, elegant A-line gown with bands of ribbon going around it on the bodice and near the hem. I loved her gown – it was reminiscent of something you might have seen in the ’40s. At the rehearsal she told me she would be changing into a traditional Korean gown for the reception. I’ve asked for photos and will share them as soon as I get them.
Kim and Brent – I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness.
