I’m lucky to have just finished a whirlwind wedding weekend! Both weddings were officiating only but they were vastly different.
Cassondra and Matthew were married at Vintage Villas on Friday evening in a small, intimate ceremony. We had mutual vows and a sand ceremony and it was quite lovely (if I do say so myself). They kept things simple with just one attendant each – the Groom and Best Man both wore sneakers (Converse All Stars I think) with their tuxedos which kept things from being too formal. The Maid of Honor wore a classic black cocktail dress accented with an amazing birdcage veiled hat in teal (which she found at Charming Charlie – one of my favorite stores!). The Bride wore a lovely strapless white ball gown with teal feathers in her hair. I loved the look of everyone!
After Cassondra and Matthew were legally wed, I packed up my car and headed to Lake Whitney for the nuptials of Amanda and Michael. They had rented a large portion of Cliffview Resort for their wedding weekend festivities and had a great turnout of family and friends. Amanda had wanted a bit more formal of a wedding while Michael had wanted something much more casual (don’t most grooms?). They each had 5 attendants, a junior bridesmaid, junior groomsman, ring bearer and flower girl (the couple’s two year old daughter). The men all wore white western style shirts, jeans and cowboy boots – not matchy matchy but very similar. The girls all wore really cute green and blue strapless sundresses with the junior bridesmaid and flower girl in white dresses with blue and green ribbon accents. The Bride was in a very formal strapless ball gown with a long train and was simply glowing. I loved her entrance with her father escorting her with a gorgeous white parasol held over her head. We had a lot of fun with the vows too and the guests seemed to love it.
As soon as I have photos from both of these lovely weddings I will post them here. Cassondra & Matthew and Amanda & Micheal – I wish you all a lifetime of love and happiness.
